Can someone UK born illegally reside in the UK? I've not seen a requirement for ILR/PR. In the case of minor's registration for BC, they don't need it (1 parent does). I find it hard to believe they can register having lived illegally up to 18 years.MPH80 wrote:Being UK born, unless born before 1983, is no grant of anything in the UK by itself.
Brilliant, thanks. The other way to return is ILR, I assume.MPH80 wrote:Someone born in the UK can remain in the UK.
The moment that person leaves the UK, they are potentially subject to immigration control. If they have the right to a British passport then they can simply return back through. If they require a visa then they have to get a visa to return.
Been out of the UK twice, as a minor. Now getting a foreign adult passport. Sounds like I need proof of British Nationality or ILR. Checked gov.uk, they don't do ILR transfers to new passports anymore. So I'll need to carry 2 passports, in either case.Wanderer wrote:When did you last enter the UK?
