Tier 2 General to Tier 1 Entrepreneur

Hi,

I am on a Tier 2 General Visa since last ~3 years. I am thinking of switching my VISA from Tier 2 Genral to Tier 1 Entrepreneur.

My Tier 2 General visa was issued for 3 years and I need to get an extension in November as I'll be completing 3 years. I work on contracts in IT and I would like to continue doing that.

Could you help me understand what is the best way to go about it?
Also, could you help me with any resources such as below
