In your case, you should have 12 months cooling off period from the UK exit date and not the UK visa expiry date.

Thanks, I heard that the cooling off period equals the duration which you spend in UK.
Please clarify further.

That's incorrect information. The cooling-off period is always 12 months, irrespective of the length of stay in the UK, if changing into different tier-2 visa sub- categories (i.e., short-term to long term or to general or to short-term again).

In case one changes from short term to long term , I do not think 12 month cooling off period is applied.
Please correct me if I am wrong
Also , Still did not find any information regarding the cooling off period in case someone leaves UK early i.e before the ICT visa expire.
Please share your thoughts.

In case one changes from short term to long term , I do not think 12 month cooling off period is applied. Provided if the annual salary is > £41500, no cooling-off is required when changing from short-term to long-term visa.

always counted 12 months period from the UK exit date
