Visit Visa for elderly

Hi I am planning to bring my Mother on a visit Visa from a None EU country , she is 70.
what type of requirements are there , I know visitor have to show some balance in their account (in their home country) but my mom doesnt have any account.
Can we just open an account for her and deposit some money for few weeks and then get the bank statement to show she has got the funds etc ? or my own bank account will be sufficient ?

Any help will be appreciated ?
