Fund Maintenance: Tier 2 Dependent

Post by mm2205 » Mon Jul 14, 2014 7:21 pm

Hello ppl,
Need help with maintenance of funds for dependent with in the UK.( When applying as a dependent of Tier 2-General )

I would be coming to UK by MID AUGUST, on Tier 2 General with the maintenance requirement met by sponsor(A-rated ).
My spouse is already in UK (Tier 1 Entrepreneur -Applied in JAN, Rejected and Appeal in Progress).
Has permission to stay till first week of October.

After I travel to the UK,if my spouse wants to switch to Tier 2-Dependent within UK, how much funds should we maintain in our accounts, in case my sponsor doesn't provide me with an explicit maintenance letter for my dependent ?

Is it enough if we show maintenance of £ 630 (Dependent-My Spouse ) for a period of 90 days before switch over date
Or Do I also need to maintain £945 in my account ?
Can you also clarify if we can maintain these amounts in Indian Accounts?

Thanks in Advance!

It's £630 only. But I believe your spouse should go back to your country and apply from there. They don't accept a fresh application as dependant within UK. Only extensions can be done. Hope this helps.
