Can I apply for my DL extension without including my sons

Post by amak » Thu Jul 17, 2014 2:22 am

I am new to this Forum but I do follow your advises and comments. Well done guys. My case is as follows, pls help:
I have 3 years DL with my partner and 3 sons which is due to be renewed by the end of this year. My first son has gotten his British passport by registering him as British citizen when he clocked 10years old. Now leaving four of us to renew our DL. But due to the increase in Application fees, I'm thinking to do the DL renewal for only me and my partner. Then when my sons (twins) are 10years old in two years time, I will register them as British citizens as I did for their brother.

Is this option right for me? Is it possible to do that? Will home office ask why? Or will it affect my application for extension?

Thank you for your quick response.

It is possible, however, they will be overstayers when their leave expires. Whether that would adversely affect them is another matter.
