Hello,
The following is my situation in a "nutshell"
I am a British citizen, however I came to the UK at the age of 14 as a somali refugee. Approximately 2 years ago I discovered that I had surviving family members (my aunt and her child) that went to seek refuge in Tanzania.
My dilemma is that my aunt passed away this Sunday(13th July), she was suffering from Multiple Myeloma and now my cousin is an orphan.
My cousin is a 7 year old girl who suffers from Anorectal Malformation and needs alot of care which I am more than capable to provide for her. I am her only surviving family and she's currently being looked after by a church that use to also look after my aunt as well but there's only so much they can do.
I have been told that she'll be given up as they can't afford to look after her. African orphanages are not like European ones, trust me I have lived in one.
Has anyone been through a similar situation and if so, how did you see it through...I am very desperate and I am open toany suggestion at this point.
