Applying for naturalisation as a student

Post by xx6xx » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:53 pm

Dear colleagues,

I would be extremely grateful for some advice regarding the naturalisation process.

I am an A8 national and I have been in the UK for 7 years. I graduated from a medical school here and I have worked full time as a junior doctor for the last 12 months. I was never had the WRS (although I had a few part time jobs whilst in uni and I've had the national insurance number right from the beginning). I've always had health insurance from my home country and I've always been able to apply for the EHIC, but I don't have all of the EHIC cards for the time period of last 7 years. I have a document confirming that, which was issued by the health department of my home country.

Do you think I am eligible to apply? I fulfil all the criteria regarding the length of stay in the country (450 days...90 days etc etc).

Regards,
Tom

Thank you Amber for your quick reply. It's nice to know that someone actually reads this forum and is willing to help.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

Would it be worth applying for PR first and then naturalisation?

Thank you all
