Backdating CB CTC

Hi guys
I am filling the form for child benefit n child tax credit n its asking me if i want to backdate it...

Can i do it becausd i only got my ILR last month?
My kids are 4 years n 1 year old

You may backdate until such time as your were granted ILR.
