Tier 4 Proof of funds - Current account

Hi !

This query is on behalf of my bro-in-law who is applying for a Tier 4 visa.

All the required funds (Fees+living exp) have been maintained in his dad's CURRENT ACCOUNT. Will that be acceptable or does it have to be a savings account ?
