Tier 2 question - £20,500 earning necessary?

Post by mardoufox » Mon Jul 21, 2014 1:44 pm

Hello,
I am looking to switch from my tier 4 student visa to tier 2 (creative). The job in question does would not pay me the £20,500 that is necessary as it is only a 2 month job, but i have well over the £945 that is required in savings. Is this visa, even worth applying for without the salary requirement, in my case?

Also, can you cancel your current visa in order to apply in a new category (i.e. tier 4 cancelled and apply for tier 5)

Thanks alot! this is all so confusing. :(

The job you intend to apply for is a two month contract - is the business going to sponsor you under Tier 2? Do they have a licence?

You do not cancel a visa you merely apply for another visa and if granted that takes over with the new terms.
