TIER 2 (GENERAL),URGENT ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE

Hii to everyone,

I have been following the post and have a question regarding Resident Labour market test.
I am currently on Tier 4(Student dependant) visa and I am already working in the suitable job getting reasonable pay as mentioned in SOC(STANDARD OCCUPATIONAL CLASSIFICATION) for my employer.

My employer is ready to sponsor me switching to Tier 2(General) on the same job role, but unsure that
(i) if they need to undertake the RLM Test?
(ii) Can I apply from inside U.K though I have not studied in any UK universities nor do i have any degrees.
Could you please confirm if I am exempted from the RLM and if I am eligible to apply inside UK TIER 2 (GENERAL)?

You are not exempt from the RLMT
You can switch to tier 2 general in country

What soc code are you going to use?

Actually in sponsor of the employer section at gov.uk
in coloumn 28.5 clearly mention that I dont hv to conduct the RLM Test If i am already working for the employer.
Could you please check that out if it is right and am i exempt from RLM Test?

RLMT is needed since you are working in your present job as a PBS dependant, not as a T2 migrant.

Also, the job has to be NQF level 6. SOC code 5221 (Metal machining setters and setter-operators) is an NQF level 3 job therefore not acceptable .

Can know you mean NQF 3 is not exempt from RLM Test or
Not eligible to apply for tier-2 general since its low grade??

RLMT and skill level are two separate requirements. RLMT is needed in any case but it would have to be for a NQF level 6 job. You cannot get T2G leave for your present job which is NQF level 3.

It clearly mentions that its a skilled job.

for some people skill level NQF 3 is sufficient, for you it isn't
