Can someone please explain to me ,if a limited leave to remain parent with a British Citizen can claim child benefit. or any other benefit

The British Citizen can claim child benefit in their name. Child tax credits and working tax credits should be claimed in join names.

Did you mean Parent or Couple with 30th month leave can claim Working tax credit and Tax credit?

If the Brithish Citizen child is claiming child benefit or any other benefit can it not affect the 30th leave extension for the parent?

The couple need to claim working tax credits and child tax credits in joint names. The British parent can claim child benefit without it affecting the partner's future applications.

child is british citizen but their both parents have leave to remain 2.5 years not allowed to public fund unless they got their stay on free visa wavier category. Even child is british they not allowed to take a child benefit, no housing benefit, no child tax credit.

In this case the OP Winner says one parent is British. I should have said in my previous post 'when one parent has ILR or is British'

But what I didn't understand is that ,what is the benefit of having British Child in the family when the parent on 30 Month can not claim any benefit for the British Child?

Before the parent could claim any benefit for the British Child , the child must have been Adult as the parent have to wait for more than 10years to get ILR.

So therefore what is the benefit of having British Children in the family when both parents is on 30 Month leave?

But both parents aren't on limited leave are they? In this thread you mention 'a British parent' or do you mean a parent to a British Citizen? And where do you get the '10 years' to British Citizenship from? Are you both on what used to be called discretionary leave?
If both parents were on limited leave the child wouldn't have British nationality simply because it was born in the UK.

The child could be British if the child been born and lived in the UK for 10 years. What's the nationality of the parents?

I meant if the child being naturalised as a British Citizen after clocking 10years being born in UK,

While the parent of the British Child is on 2.5 years leave to remain ,granted post July 2012
