Monthly allocation quota

Post by teator » Sun Jul 27, 2014 12:52 pm

Hi all

Does anyone knows if monthly allocation quota has been exceeded?

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ponsorship

From what I can see on here there are 535 COS carried over to August. Does it means that there were more than 535 applications to qualify but were not allocated COS as there were not enough available places? Or this just means that these 535 were left spare after allocation so every request for COS was satisfied?

Does "Minimum point score for successful applications in July = 32" indicates that successful application that was allocated COS was with lowest point 32? Or being "successful" merely means being eligible for COS thus not being rejected/refused? Does anyone here even knows what is the percentage of turned down COS applications?

Could anyone with more insight and experience assure/correct me please.

The quota has not come close to being reached. Those 535 were spare.

Thanks physicskate

It is a bit confusing. I had an impression that this is a statistics of all applications received. But then I realise that there is no information of how many of those who applied were refused/rejected/declined as for sure there should be some during selection process.

Looks like the information on their site gives statistics of quota allocation AFTER reducing the number of COS applications down to only eligible ones.

So how many actually did not pass eligibility criteria is not given.
