T2ICT dependent max stay

Hi
We are looking for options for ILR.
I am on T2ICT valid from Sep2012. My wife is on T2ICT Dependent from May2014.
We need some clarification.
My wife's employer is ready for a T2General. We want to know what is the maximum stay on T2G (is it 6 years?) & total time for ILR (is it 5 years?)

If I move to T2G Dependent then total stay would be T2ICT + T2G Dep?

on the 5 year route to ILR your time under T2 ICT would not be counted

I was wondering about the new rule where one can stay max stay 6 years on T2 visa so was worried this 6 years would be T2ICT + T General which would mean i will complete my 6Years in 2018 and my wife wouldn't complete her 5 years on ILR. Effectively, kicking me out of UK for 12 months (cooling off) while my wife stays here to complete her 5 years ILR.
Hence my question that for max stay total allowed period of 6Y is T2ICT + T2General Dep + T2General etc...
