Deported from other country could get HSMP Dependent EC?

Post by edna_deocampo » Fri Aug 10, 2007 11:36 am

Hi. I am new here....

I have the same topic under HSMP Forum, but upon reading this general Uk immigration forum, i have read about overstaying, and decided to join this forum to get advise/opinion with my problem.

I was deported from japan 4 years ago for overstaying.

My husband got his approved HSMP application. So we submitted our EC application in the UK Embassy in Manila including our 1 1/2 year old daughter last July 2, 2007. Since, my passport has stamp of deportation from japan, I declared it in VAF1 application form that i was deported, and explained everything. And I wanted to be honest as I could.

Do you think it will affect our HSMP EC application because since July 2, we have not received any feedback from the UK Embassy?

Is there somebody here who could help me to lessen my worries.

Thank you

Why didn't you get a new passport before you applied?
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

Hi Dawie,

I submitted 2 passports; the expired passport with stamp of japan deportation and my new passport.

But I wanted to be honest to my past immigration issues to the British government so I could not encounter any problems once we were settled there.

Do you think it will affect our EC application? as well as EC of my husband and daughter?

Thank you

It certainly won't help, but I think you did the right by being honest. Each application is judged on its own merits and it will be up to the entry clearance officer to decide to grant you entry clearance or not.

Hi Dawie,

What do you meant by "it certainly won't help"
