Delay caused by Passport backlog

Post by intrepid777 » Thu Jun 12, 2014 10:51 am

Hello everyone, I think this is a good forum to ask this. Just seeing in the news about the backlog at the Passport office causing huge delays at the current time, in response the government seems to have moved staff over to improve the situation. I'm wondering if since everything is done by the home office, whether we can expect longer than normal processing times for citizenship or any other visa applications. Any thoughts on where these extra staff are going to be taken from?

Nothing unexpected by Mrs. Maybe but i think probably its hard that they will move immigration staff to the HM Passport office ... from where they will get this extra staff .. don't know might be it is just a "political statement".

Well there are certainly delays to most naturalization applications since May when this problem started at the passport office from reading the 'naturalization timelines' so I think i was correct back when I originally posted. It appears we'll have to wait until the backlog reduces perhaps at the end of summer...
