Permission to appeal

Post by saminkhan » Sun Aug 03, 2014 12:10 am

Hi

My parents DL application was rejected by 1st Tier Tribunal and we have applied for permission to appeal for Upper Tribunal. I have been informed by the solicitors that even if we dont get the permission to appeal from the 1st Tier Tribunal, we can still appeal to the Upper Tribunal which doesnt make sense. Any one knows how it works.

Thanks

Yes that is correct. You can make an application for permission to appeal to the Upper Tribunal , directly to the Upper Tribunal, if the FTT refuses permission.
