Old passport status in new passport

Old passport status in new passport

Hi,
With my old passport expiring, I got a renewed one from Indian Embassy in London. The new passport has a stamp 'CANCELLED AND RETURNED WHICH HOLD VALID VISAS' referring to the old passport.
This stamp has caused my UAE visa to be rejected on it being ambiguous (if it refers to the new passport or old passport). Kindly let me know if any one has faced such situation and if there is a possible solution.

Does it actually mention the old passport details or just the the stamp on the observation page?

Hi Even my new passport stammped as 'CANCELLED AND RETURNED WHICH HOLD VALID VISAS'
will it cause any problem??
