Hi All
I'm about to submit my EEA3 application form for PR and have a few questions:
1. I'm a Portuguese national arrived in UK in April 2008- obtained a registration certificate in March 2010 - do I have to wait until March 2015 to apply for PR or would they accept my application on the basis that I've been living and working in UK for past 6 years?
2. First job started in July 2008 and in June 2010, I was made redundant from my job. From July to September 2010, I was unemployed and resumed employment in October 2010 ( second job and currently still employed by the same company). Will this affect my application? (I have P60's and payslips for all years). NB. I did not leave the UK during my period of unemployment. Would it be worth mentioning this period of unemployment in the cover letter?
3.Since I've been here longer than 5 years, would the home office only consider my application from 2009. The reason I'm asking is that I went to Italy from the 14th August 2009- 22nd August 2009. If I submit my application this week and HO acknowledges receipt of application between 14 August - 22 August 2014, would they refuse my application as I was technically not in the UK 5 years ago?
4. Also my wife (Non EEA) is due to apply for her PR. She was issued a family permit on the 15th March 2009 (entered UK on 16 the March 2009).She then applied for a residence card which is valid until 10 March 2015. Would the 5 years residency apply from the 16 march 2009 or from 10 March 2010?
Many thanks
