Earnings - please help

Post by Jama » Mon Aug 13, 2007 6:55 am

Dear friends,

I am going to apply for the HM status again in September, I have one problem, but it is a big one....I work for a company which gives us our wage in cash....no bank statements....

Of course I can provide the HSMP team with my Petty Cash Receipts(stamped etc), but will they be satisfied?

Another problem is that according to our laws, my company pay taxes for all employees once a year and it is one BIG income tax for all employees in the Company.....I know the case workers will be very sceptical about that, but i can't change the laws.....:( I am stressed because of all those moments.

I will ppreciate if senior members, moderators or anyone else who has an experience would comment and advise what can be done.

Many thanks,
Jama

1. Get your wage slips stamped.
2. A letter from the company explaining:
i. Your income
ii. The company's tax deduction and tax declaration system
3. Your income tax return statement anyway.
4. Your bank statments showing those cash deposits from your end, if any.
5. A cover letter specifically for the Past Earnings chapter of your application explaining your earnings and situation.

Regards.

6. Also very important: See if you can provide proof of expenditure such as receipts of investments and insurance etc.

1400 years, the application directly says that if you can't provide both tax return and wageslip, you should provide one of the exeptional evidence (either bank statment or letter from the employer).....

so the wagelip, letter from the employer and the cash receipts will do? How do you think??
thanks!

i provided to them all of what i had suggested to you; because my case was similar to yours ... but i had receipts of real estate investments and life insurance policy payments to show where my cash income had gone.

and in my case, they didn't object to that.

i never got the hsmp approval because i provided inappropriate evidence of my english language skills.

so i sent in a request for review.

the new case officer didn't object to my proof of earnings. but he still rejected my plea for considering the evidence for english language proficiency that i had provided.

therefore, twice, they didn't object to what i had provided regarding proof of earnings.

now, i can't really say what might happen in your case.

i am going to apply again with an IELTS score. God knows if they object to the proof of income this time instead.

so, again, i can only say that it worked twice. who knows about the third or fourth time!

fingers crossed, as pantaiema remarked! in my first response i was going to say that in your/our case, besides submitting the other documents for exceptional consideration, as i did, that you/we still need lots of good luck!

Sorry just a little correction. It should read, if your ITR does cover the period claim, U need to provide addtional evidence whisch is Bnak statement and Letter form employer.
