maternity allowance

Post by starnike1000 » Wed Aug 13, 2014 10:49 pm

Hi
My wife is British and I am on a spouse visa under new rules with financial requirement. She had been working before we found out she was pregnant and I am still in full time employment. Question is if she claimed maternity allowance, would that jeapodize my extention in any way as I understand we should not be taking any sort of benefits?
A detailed insight into what is and isn't classed as benefits would be helpful and much appreciated.
Many thanks

As a British citizen, no restrictions can be imposed on her as to what she can claim and what she can't claim.

The restrictions only applies to you the non-EEA spouse.
