when you apply for Passport they contact referees more often

Looks like there isn't any news today regarding the May's applications?

It's ben 80 days so far for me sens I aplayed on the 27th of May.

Looks like we have to wait until September ,hhopefully we might hear somthing othere then that u better engoy your bank holiday and forget about it.

I have just came back from holiday, found no letters from HO in my letter box, phoned them this morning only to receive the standard " still under the consideration " reply.... 108 days passed since I' ve applied

I applied on 7th May. I recently contacted the HO, but I was given the lazy "it takes up to 6 months" reply. I read on a BBC article that due to public outrage regarding passport processing delays, the Home Secretary simply moved staff from the citizenship applications dept to the passport office. I suppose no one cares about us really, whether there are delays or not. What a disgrace!
