Son coming back into UK with EEA2 application pending?

Post by DreaLondon » Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:57 pm

Hi,
We have applied for the EEA2 residence card for my 3 year old son. He's a USA citizen, I am both Romanian and American. We do not have a decision yet, but we will be traveling to the US at the end of November for Christmas. If we receive the passports back, with no decision being made by then, will he be able to come back into the UK through Heathrow is his app is still pending? Will we have something in hand from the Home Office saying that we have a pending application? Many thanks.

No issue (the same way he entered the UK in the first place). When applying for RC, you will receive a confirmation of the application (CoA) which can be shown at the border. Alternatively, a birth certificate (I assume you are all traveling together) should do the same.

Thank you Jambo!! Whew, I just wiped some sweat off my brow right now! Glad to hear. Considering that I'll also be 5 months pregnant then, I was kind of worried. Thank you again!
