Hello everybody
I have a visa application for my wife (as a dependent on me) at British Embassy in AbuDhabi.
I recieved a call from an Abudhabi landline number today morning and I missed it. I tried calling it but there was no answer.
Is this an HO call?
For the ones who recieved this call, what was the calling number? If you miss it, how do you know that it is an HO call?

Note: I am currently in UAE.

Abu dhabi Embassy neither contacted my sponsor(UK Telco) nor my company(HR). I donot know yet what is the result of that application but hopeful and having strong belief in Allah Kareem rehmat.

Lets see what will be the output. Once I received my passport then I will definitely update here.

Hi there!

I have applied 2 years family visitor visa (standard application) for my mother on 12 August and received an email stating " your application has been issued" two days ago- last year when I applied 6 months for her she had received an email stating " your Visa has been issued" so now its bit confusing to understand what their mean is. Anyway just like last year, I have not been contacted by HO to check the sponsorship or anything and the time line has been the same (1 week) so I am confident that she has got her visa (fingers crossed). Now all I am waiting for a Gerry's call...

Time line :- applied 12/08/2014 (Islamabad centre)
AUH email : 20/08/2014
Gerry's call: still waiting- maybe I get it today.

Finally got an email from Gerrys @ 2 P.M and then I collected my Passport around 3 P.M

Received Email from(3G-Uncleared) : 20-08-2014 11.00 A.M
Visa Service: Standard

Gerrys Email For Collection: 23-08-2014 02.00 P.M
Received Passport: 23-08-2014 02.40 P.M
Result: Visa Issued (Alhamdulillah)

Standard Application services are not so bad. I am quite satisfied you can get your results in almost 2 weeks time.

My brother has applied in Islamabad on 28th July and he has got exactly the same case as yours. My sister has sponsored her but financially he is supporting himself. My sister received a call from HO exactly the same date as yours and till now he has got no response. He just don't know what to do except waiting as he wants to be here till 13th of September. It has been 4 weeks now and they haven't even replied to him. So far at his work place no inquiries has been made. I was wondering have they made any inquiries to your work place to confirm anything.

i am applied 28th of july. i wanted to travel 14th of august and just wanted to stay one week with my sister via london going to canada. but i had to cancelled my booking and stuff and still waiting for the decision.
i am a hand lord and runing my own business in pakistan. they havnt contacted me my business numbers yet. i was bit expecting this delay because i have lived more then ten years in the uk got married there which they work out so i left uk for good. they might be doing my back ground check. thats why they taking that long. inshallah i will get visa soon. i have valid visa for canada for two years and alos got valid visa for NZ. having excellent travel history i dont think it would be a problem inshallah.
any way i will update u guys as soon i got response from them.

My brother got an email this morning saying

"The processed visa application for GWF reference number - GWFXX was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 8/25/2014. If a courier service was purchased from VFS, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address. If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times. "

Now I really don't know what does that mean. Unfortunately he cannot go today to collect his passport as he is out of city and will be back tomorrow.

Anyone has got any idea whether it is approved or rejected as he didn't get any other email.
