Ex wife problems

Hi Everyone

I have recently married and I and my wife are currently in the process of applying for her spouse visa to join me in the UK. ( We handed the paperwork in 3 weeks ago).

However my Ex wife has decided to take exception to this and is threatening to call the UKBA and tell them lies.She cannot move on with her life. Its very stressful for me as I just want to move on with my life now. I would like to know if there is anything I can do in this situation. Has anyone ever had similar problems and what happened?

Did you obtain your settlement with your ex-wife as sponsor? Is she threatening to report you for giving false information in your ILR application? Without more information it's impossible to advise you.

I obtained settlement as a spouse through my ex wife 11 years ago. We were married for 12 years. As I have re married she is now threatening to say I used her and now the new wife is using me to live in the UK. This is just rubbish.

For an application made 11 years ago, she doesn't stand a chance.

It won't affect your current application. You need to bear in mind that even if she does report you to the Home Office, they move incredibly slowly (if at all) and even complaints from ex-wives immediately after ILR has been granted are very difficult to prove.
Go head with your application and don't worry. I'm sure in any event that they are idle threats.
