Travel to schengen countries when separated from EEA family

Post by askmeplz82 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:54 pm

Guys i need your suggestion.

I'm separated from my ex-wife for more then 3 years now. Anyway i want to travel to Poland ALONE on holiday. In order to apply for Schengen VISA i need ex-wife passport which she won't give me ( i didn't ask but i know she won't ). In the application form it says

" Family members of EU or EEA citizens have to present documents proving this relationship" Can i show Marriage certificate?

- By the way she is not working now. she stay at home looking after her new born baby for nearly 9 months ( with her new partner )
- We both have Health Insurance since September 2014 and Joint Account

What step for people like me? What problem i may face in the Airport when coming back?
