Cat A or Cat B Financial requirment

Post by shravz » Sun Sep 07, 2014 10:44 pm

Hello,

Thank you in advance, your help will be very much appreciated. This is my 1st post on the forum
I would like to find out which financial category I fall under to apply for my Partner (Indian Citizen)
Cat A or B ?

I’m currently employed from Feb 2014 with £700 per calendar month and have rental income £1100 each month. This amounts to £1800 per calendar month. Will this meet the 18k6 requirement?

I’m aware that to show rental income I should show 12 months rental income and bank statements. All this will be provided but the rental income was unstable during Sept- Nov 2013. I.e Vacant property. My question is will this affect the application in any way?
I will also provide them with copy of tenancy agreement and deeds of house that is rented. Copy of letter of employment and payslips. I'm employed by my parents will this affect the application in any way. The NI have been paid and Tax

Also I have 17k savings in bank Aug 2014 but six months prior it was 6k so when we fill in the cat d section do we state only 6k even though bank statements presently state 17k? I know trivial questions but Just want to make sure we do everything right. We have been apart since Dec 2012 trying to sort out financial situation.

With regards

You are not required to show you have been receiving rental income over twelve months, but rather required to show that within a twelve month period you have been receiving rent income.

Your parents employing you will not affect, provided they can write a letter confirming the terms of your employment and the length of time you have been working for.

You will be relying on Category A, C, D i believe.

From you saving £400 can be added to the requirement, so you need to show that over the 12 month you have earned 18200

If you state 6k it will not be used towards the financial requirement.

Only income that exceed 16K will be taken into account.

sorry i wasn't clear in my question. I meant ask as the 17k is today's current figures but in order to be considered as income it has to be in the account for last six months right. The current figures include money from wages and rental income that have accumlated over time. So hence the confusion to state it has 6k or 17k.

Thank you for your patience

Savings below 16k are not included so you have to rely on having 17K for an entire 6 month period in order for it to count.

Hello all,
can you plz explain the below statement in plain English as I couldn't able to get through,

For the purpose of paragraph 13(a)(i), in respect of a person in non-salaried
employment at the date of application "the level of gross annual salary relied upon in the application" shall be no greater than the annual equivalent of the person's average gross monthly income from non-salaried employment in the 6 months prior to the date of
application, where that employment was held throughout that period.
many thanks
prawin
