SOC Code for HW Engineer

Post by UKBA-VICTIM » Tue Sep 09, 2014 3:46 pm

Dear Immigration board Team,

I am on Tier 2 Visa applied under SOC code 2132 (HW engineer) but now I don't see this Job role and SOC code in their new Codes of Practice document.

Will i be able extend my visa? if yes, Can i use the same code for the extension

Thanks for your help!!

SOC code 2132 has been replaced by SOC codes 2135, 2136 and 2139 and your sponsor should choose one of these for the CoS you'll need for the extension

yes - if you are applying for a grant of leave that would extend your total stay in Tier 2 beyond 3 years and 1 month.
