how can bia find out if somebody on a spouse visa has claimed public funds or not ?

Surely, they could easily ask the DWP for the info.

I would of thought that they could input a national ins number into a computer and i would tell them if benifits are being claimed. Or maybe that would be to easy.

They can check easily through NI numbers.

And you have to state it on the form if you have claimed them anyway.
