spouse visa

i am on a student visa , i got married in uk on 24 july 2007 and i want to ask can i switch to spouse visa as my wife is having hsmp visa . do i have to go to india to get entry clearance or can it be done here

So your wife is also on a visa? If she is on HSMP, you need a HSMP dependent's visa, not a spouse visa. I think you can switch in-country. Maybe look at the website www.homeoffice.ind.gov.uk and look for the HSMP visa application forms.
