Acknowledgement letter not received

Hi,posting on behalf of a friend...this is her third time application .she applied using a fee waiver for fp under 7 yrs child concession and she has not yet received acknowledgment letter after 5 weeks.she called soli and he said its normal because this is her 3rd application....any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks amber for replying...she is an overstayer with 3 children all born in the uk but not British .

She'll have to wait, if a child has been in UK for 7 or more years, then the Best Interest of the children should allow leave to be granted. Once a child reaches 10 they (the child) will be entitled to be registered as British.
