Hello
I want to know if EEA2 Residence card holder is travelling with wife coming back from holidays from within EU , is asked questions upon arrival at airport , what law says in this regard ?
examples of questions asked are: ( both standing together by same entry clearance officer )
Did you go together ? how many days did you stay ? are you coming back together ? where are you going ?? ( acceptable questions)
Objectionable questions asked :
what was your status before getting EEA2 residence card ? Did you finish your course at University ? did you tell University you are leaving study ? what you was doing before marriage ?
I believe according to EU Law once married to Eu national , all previous immigration action should have been stopped against that particular person in quesiton.
So why they ask questions prior to marriage with EU national at border control when you have residence card, wife is with you standing with you with hands in hands ??
anyone knows of any law about this ? help will be appreciated.

Examples of questions asked are very normal questions which normally asked by airport security before/after luggage scanning. But objectionable questions which you mentioned are really idiotic act and you are right that old immigration status is unrelated when married to EU national.

I will advise you to always open the page of passport first which has eea2 RC for authorities. Maybe the border officer was untrained simply ignore her. But if you traveled to eastern Europe then try to not close passport quickly after receiving their stamp (which by law they shouldn't but they do) because their ink is always stay fresh because nobody gets stamp except few travellers which damage the readable contents on eea2 RC. Simply let stamp dry then close passport or keep some paper for a while on that page.

Thanks it's true i got it stamped in Lithuania, in Cyprus, Spain etc. In Spain he shocked me by stamping expired passport too which contains RC. I will be visiting Citizens advice bureau to seek statue that limits interrogation past marriage with EEA national. So, I can calm their beans down next time.
If EU law says all immigration action prior to marriage must be stopped then they shouldn't be asking about my status and whether i finish course or no or whether I inform university or no. I first didn't give a shit and if it wasn't 1am i would have refused to speak to her and called her Chief and reported her annoying questions breaching EEA LAW

Lithuanian ink stamps are worst ones but at their major airports like Vilnius the staff from gatekeeper to airport/visa authorities all known about eea2 and free right of entry but they never listen about placing stamp. You can complain about UK border guard but normally it never happen for incoming flights from Europe with EU partner.

If you wish you can order your SAR file from UKVI in order to fully ascertain your past immigration history along with their comments/minutes notes in it.

Sometimes the immigration authorities have some comments/note about travellers who they always interrogate on entry. Therefore, a SAR file can reveal all these notes/comments in order to enable that individual to fully understand and get it removed with the relevant authorities to end that inconvenience each time. Even many ILR holders face same problem many times. Undeniably, for EU national family members asking such questions is totally unnecessary, therefore you have a right to complain.

Many thanks for letting me know., I shall pay 10 pounds fee and make a request to send me all the details they held about me. then I shall gather reasonable citations or even go to court against UKBA entry clearance for causing inconvenience by asking irrelevant questions and wasting of time.
