How soon after getting ILR, can I get British Citizenship?

I arrived in Uk as a part time research assistant with 50%salary on a 3 year work permit on September 22, 2002, even though my job contract was from October 1, 2002. It was extended for one more year in September 2005. I was also a part-time PhD student during this period. In September, 2006, I got another fulltime job and a new work permit from October 1, 2006 to Septemebr 30,2008.
Kindly clarify the following:

1. Will there be any problem in getting ILR, since I was working only on a part-time job for the first 4 years? Were you considered to be working during the full duration of your work permit?
2.Can I fix an appointment for same day service, 28 days before completing 5 years, i.e. during September 1st week, 2007, YES or should I wait till full 5 years of stay is completed for same day service? no

3.I have not registered with the Police, since I am from India. Will that create any problem?

4. I have been staying during last one year with some friends, and paying the rent to them in cash, and not directly to the landlord. The rent and council tax are not paid by me officially. Will that create any problem?

5.Since I am staying in Aberdeen, can I go o Glasgow office for same day service, instead of Croydon?
Please check the guidance as to which office does same day and if there are any restrictions as to where you can go to apply
Please help with all relevant advice.

Haha! Even I was getting confused!!!

gmajit- that isn't very polite or helpful to anyone. Plus, your (new) question can be difficult to answer without your immigration history. If you're not married to a British citizen, you need to hold ILR for 12 full months before applying for naturalisation.

To answer your revised qustion: as Sakura said above, you can apply for British citizenship after you have held ILR for 12 months, provided of course that you fulfil all the other criteria. If you are married to a British citizen, all you need to apply is to be an ILR holder when you apply, again provided that you fulful all the other criteria. (Note, if you are married to a British citizen you can make use of this concession even if you haven't been married to the person throughout your residency in the UK and even if the person has not been a British citizen for all of that period.)

Since his reply answered my queries, and since the answers tallied with what I was thinking, I posted the next question.
I may be getting married to a UK citizen, and your posted replies have cleared all my doubts.
