Tier 2 ICT Long term staff partner , eligible to work or not

Hi Experts,

I really need some help as I don't have much time to convince my employer. I will explain my situation
I am on Tier 2 ICT Long term staff partner visa and have been employed since year and half and now I am on maternity leave. My current visa is expiring on 28th June 2014, that is this Friday. My husband has already started the visa renewal process and we are waiting for the BRP letter from Visa Immigration office.

But my employer is telling me that, as its mentioned in my contract that "I should have valid visa throughout my employment to be employed". My current visa is expiring on this Friday, they are telling me either submit new visa before my current visa or get letter from Visa Immigration team (UKIV) that I can be employed while my visa is under process.

Now how should I convince my employer? where is that I can get information on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa extension guidelines and show them that?

Please help me, and its very urgent.

I have come to UK on 18th August 2014 with Tier 2 ICT long term staff partner visa as a dependent.

If anyone could answer my question would be of great help to me.
My question is
1)Am I eligible to work in UK?
2) iF YES,Do i need any full time sponsorship by an employer?
I had applied in several companies but they refrained to take my application ahead stating that i would need a sponsorship by the employer.

yes, except as doctor or dentist in training

2) iF YES,Do i need any full time sponsorship by an employer?
no, as a PBS Dependant you don't need any sponsorship - if in doubt a prospective employer can check with UKVI (0300 123 4699)
