Help - Tier 2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General (ILR Elig)

Post by hvashisht » Tue Sep 23, 2014 3:25 pm

Hi Guys

My Wife and I entered the UK on Aug 8, 2011. My Visa Staus in UK is as below

Tier-2 ICT - Aug-2011 till Jan-2013 (Main Applicant) - I know my this stay on ICT will not be considered for ILR.

Tier 2 General dependent - May 2013 till date ( Wife on Tier 2 General)

If I switch to Tier 2 General now, as my current Employer is ready to sponsor , Will I be eligible for ILR in May 2018?

you will have to apply for a T2G visa from home country with restricted CoS and you will only be eligible for ILR 5 years after you return to the UK

Thanks Manci for replying back.

How about my 15 months which I spent as Tier-2 General (Dependent). (May-2013 till Sep-2014).
Will that not count for ILR ?

I am planning to switch to Tier-2 General (Main Applicant) next month.

Is that mean as soon I switch to Tier 2 General my previous stay as Tier-2 General (Dependent) will obsolete and clock will start from 0 again ?

How about my wife if she became by dependent after next month, Continue work with 40K Salary, Is that same will apply to her ?
