passport application submitted forgot to sign

SuSubmitted passport form through post office with all relevant documentation forgot to sign the form

Don't know would it be rejected to be back in queue hope not... can someone advise please if it happen before.

Oh dear! If u posted it today,U can rush back to the post office and show them Ur slip,they would definitely help u to locate it and open it 4 u. If u had done it yesterday,u should be expecting the form back next week. The signature on the form would be the one scanned to ur passport. They can't issue u an unsigned passport.

Your application would be sent back, (Not refused) but will be sent back to you.

Well, usually Guard asks you to sign the form infront of him/her, if you go to Garda station for stamp. I almost forgot to get driving licence photocopy certified by Garda, but remembered before I left.
Its just my thought, may be I m wrong, but I think, probably, you will have to submit the new application as the application has to be signed in front of a witness(usually local Garda), so how he/she will re-confirm that You signed in front of him/her when on 23rd Sep or when? ..Garda signed on 23Sep and you probably will be signing the same form on 6th October....uuuuffff.

The phone number is required to contact u in case they need something. If every thing is in order they don't need to contact u (well they never contacted me in two different occasions). You can also track the progress of your application online. I am sure u already know that....

hopefully yes and when u get it than frame it in an expensive gold frame and hang it near the main entrance of your house. Before leaving home in the morning and coming back in the evening get on your knees to salute it....LOLLLLLLLLL

Application is not valid if you did not sign it, they may return it or send you a small snippet of the sign page for you to sign. Although the new irish passport do not come with signature as you will need to manually sign it again but signature is required in the application form.

i would recommend you not to trust the shown ISSUE DATE in the system, if it says 6th, you should expect it to be 10th or later date. my kids application is still showing 23rd and still registered with the system.

Oh really eh let us know when u receive your kids application it's 24th today so hopefully you will receive it this week but let us know cuz I have a flight on the 10th so don't want to miss it so maybe il change my ticket if that's what you said about maybe receiving it on the 10th

Last year when i sent my application to the passport office, all of the 9 days it was showing as "Received and registered in the System" and on the 10th day all of the sudden the status changed to "Passport dispatched in an post tracking xxxx".

ON the other hand my friend's passport went to different stages like "Received and registered in the System" and tha "Being Checked" and the "Approved" and than "In Printing" and than "Passport dispatched in an post tracking xxxx".

So, may be that could be your situation....

Well I expected the same that police officer would ask me to sign which he didn't than I forgot completely. .. around a year ago when I applied my son passport , I received a call from passports office and they asked to get a new application signs by garda as previous person who signed went on vacations, I was on with it as it didn't delay the delivery dates. So I have fingers crossed and expecting the same

my kid's application is still showing the same information, and 3 days over the shown issue date.
i am expecting to receive it next week, hopefully.
mine took 15 working days to get, when i applied around last May

so make your plan according to full 15 working days, at least.

so take it as complete 3 weeks.
however in an emergency you always have option to go to the passport office in person to get an accelerated process
