Can a Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Partner study in the UK?

Hi,

I am aware that a Tier 2 ICT staff partner can work in the UK but my question is if he/she can study in the UK? If it so happens that migrant would have to leave his/her assignment, would the partner still be able to study or will he/she have to go back apply for 'Student' visa and continue his/her studies.

Also are you please aware if the universities here in the UK do accept pupil with Tier 2 ICT staff partner visa?
