Aupairs/WRS/British Citizenship

Post by meli81 » Sun Oct 05, 2014 6:47 pm

Hi everybody

I am going to NCS tomorrow to submit my application for BC. But I got very confused about few things and it would be great if someone could help me out with some answers.
I came to the UK in November 2007(so will be 7 years) and started to work as an aupair straight away. I was not aware of the Working Registration Scheme that time. I started to work as a nanny in August 2010 (so proper paid job, paying taxes ect) and registered for WRS in March 2011. Now I'm reading all sort of informations about being an aupair doesn't count as employment and still not clear if I was or wasn't supposed to be registered while I was an aupair.

Will Home Office consider the time while I was an aupair or will they count my years only from the date I registered for WRS?
I really need some advice as I don't want to submit my application and pay the fee if they going to turn around and tell me oh well you only have 3 years...
