as they are supposed to tell you before the 6 months expiry that your application is dealyed

You'd be lucky to get an apology but nothing more. At least now you know that they're suppose to deal with your application within 6 months. After 6 months, you'll be told that they don't know how long it'll take now.SKK27 wrote:

Living in this country since last 11 years...and both husband and wife employed in NHS jobs....Home office looks like full of jokers and willing to eat up your £906 anyhow.
Called home office numerous time and this time a bit aggressively... they have on answer 6 month time frame.I asked if my application is in progress since last a month and half,how many more month you need to decide....now they says then call after 6 months we will apologize....£906..wait 6 months for their apology.......I am speechless now.....
