Tier 2 general and ILR

Post by jana3332 » Thu Oct 02, 2014 3:56 pm

HI,

I am in tier 2 General, completed 4 years and 10 months. eligible to apply in December for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

I have a wife and 2 kids, both the kids born in UK son 4 years and daughter 2 years old. They all have tier 2 dependant visa.

My question is, Both my Wife and I have planned to apply in December for ILR, is it necessary my kids also need to apply or will they eligible to get British Citizenship straight after we get our ILR by filling necessary application?

Please answer my query i am sure your answer will save me a huge some of money.

thanks

jay

For your kids, you could directly apply for british citizenship as they're born in the UK, after you both have your ILR approved.

Dear Members, Please clarify me this

I am in Tier 2 and Eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain in 3 weeks time , I have 2 kids both are over 2 years old born in the UK, My wife and 2 kids are all in Tier 2 Dependant Visa Which is valid until Dec 2015.

I am applying in 3 weeks, But My Wife is not Ready with her Life in the UK and the English test yet, She will apply at later satge.
My question is, As soon as I get my ILR stampted in my Passport can I apply British Citizenship for my Kids or I have to wait for my wife's ILR To get approved also? Please can some one clarify this.

thanks

Both or Either of the parents should have ILR to apply for british citizenship MN1 registration of their UK born kids.
