Quick summary of what happened!
Ok so we sent an eea1 form for eea national and 2 x eea2 forms for his son and husband.
They were each in a poly pocket of their own, all three bound together with an elastic band, with a cover letter saying that the eea nationals passport was to be used for both eea2 applications also.
They got first a letter a few days later (all 3 individual) from the payment team in Durham saying that the applications have been received and will be passed to a caseworker but if there's a problem with payment they would be returned.
Then an email arrived a couple of weeks later saying the applications are at Liverpool and are being looked at by caseworker.
**we notice only one amount of £55 was taken, not 3**
A month in and everything is returned in a big parcel with he applications saying one application did not have the payment bit filled in (not true) and one had details wrong or insufficient funds in bank (also not true, the money was there and details right.) But we could not prove what was on the payment pages because THEY DIDN'T RETURN THE PAYMENT PAGE OF ANY OF THE APPLICATIONS!
Each application had a sticker with a bar-code on it and the pictures had been taken out of the envelopes and was loose inside the passports, the evidence we had had been looked at as we had receipts etc that had been taken out and shuffled around and not all put back in.
Why did we not find out sooner that the payments had an issue? Should we not have received the payment page of the applications too to look at the problem? Does anything suggest it would have been likely have been going positively until that point?
Any advice would be great
