TIER2 General Applying for ILR

Hi

1. My Tier2 General visa is getting expired 2 months before completing 5 years to qualify for ILR. Am I eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain Applications or I need to apply again Tier2 General visa.

2. My family(Wife & 1 year old baby) is with me in UK as dependent & they came after 9 July 2012 & they do not complete 5 years in UK does they eligible to apply for ILR or what visa they have to take to stay with me.

Please reply it will be great help in taking many critical decision for me.

Please tell me details when your Tier 2 was first assigned and then if you had extended it any time and how long it was valid for? Then someone can help you.

But from the information you have given here is what I can say:

First you have to extend your tier 2 before it expires. Once you have extended your Tier 2 then you can apply for ILR as soon as you complete your five years. You cant apply for ILR until you finish 5 years on your Tier 2 General.
