Hi
I am in Tier 2 General visa (SOC code 3541) and it was sponsored by my current employer in October 2011. My question as below, please could you help me to clarify on this.
1.) Would i be eligible to get a same Job SOC code with new employer.
2.) Does the new employer required to carry out Resident labour market test or can they issue a Cos with out Resident labour market test ?
Thank you

it is up to the new employer to determine the SOC code which must closely match the job description but the skill level will only need to be NQF level 4 in your case.

RLMT will be needed for the CoS if you change employment
Thank you

Hi Manci
Thank you for your reply. Please could you help me to clarify on the below.
At present my partner is out side UK. And I am planning to apply Tier 2 dependent visa for my partner from the country where she is residing at the moment. Also I understand that I have to mention my current Cos number on my partner's dependent visa application form, if I do so., and apply dependent visa. But I am looking to change my job, once I changed my job with new employer with new Cos number and visa given. Then should I need to again apply dependent visa for my partner before she come to UK.please could you clarify.
Thank you

Could someone please help clarify the following:
once a new Tier 2 application is approved by the UKBA does the current employer get notified thereof / or of the fact that the issued CoS has lapsed? Or is it the employee's responsibility to notify the employer?
Thanks!!!

if your wife is not planning to travel before you have the new CoS there is little point in making her application before you have the new CoS. Dependant entry clearance applications don't normally take long to process.
