right of abode

i would like to know if its possible for me to apply for my child a right of abode cert in the uk

he is boen to me a british citizen and holds a non eu passport

as he is able to obtain a tourist visa on arrival
he could enter the uk and i could apply for it there as its cheaper

is that possible or does he have to apply for it in the country he was born ?

this is first time applying for it

How do you have British Citizenship, and where was he born?
