Cost of UK Visitor visa for spouse of EU national

Hello,

I am married to a Slovak citizen and live in Bratislava. I have been to the UK 3 times in the last 4 years, mostly for concerts. Application fee was about 100 EUR, which is expensive, but OK, the visa is for 6 months and multiple entries.

So today I was applying for a new visitor visa because I want to see a concert in December, and i was shocked to see that on the top of the normal visa fee, an additional user fee must be payed because now there's a company called Teleperformance Ltd that will deal visa applications. With this additional user fee the total tourist visa goes to 188 EUR !!!

Therefore I am thinking instead paying the flight ticket to my wife and go with her in this trip. I heard the visa fee for spouses of EU nationals is zero, but I don't see this information anywhere in the UK Border Agency page. Anyone can shed a light on this? 188 EUR to visit London for a weekend is absurd.
