Tire 2 Extension

Post by gautamnair » Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:14 pm

Hi

i am going to extend my visa this month. my passport was renewed last month, i already have a bio-metric card

1) is it necessary to have informed the home office about the change in my passport number
2) will this have any issue in extending the visa or getting a new COS for extension

kind regards
Gautam

Hi Gautam,

i am going to extend my visa this month. my passport was renewed last month, i already have a bio-metric card

1) is it necessary to have informed the home office about the change in my passport number#
No it is not an issue, when sending your application send the your old passport along with the new one.
2) will this have any issue in extending the visa or getting a new COS for extension
COS allocation has nothing to do with your new passport, your employer needs to do before the COS is assinged to you.
3) does my sponsor renews the old SOC or issues a new one as their is option to renew the old SOC
Your employers has to issue a new COS with the same SOC number to extend your visa( please don't get the 2 things mixed up)
4) the old cos has changed, when issue the SOC as they are renewing it should they use the old one or change it to the new one
see above.

If ur soc has changed u should use the new doc
Like mine was 2329 but now it's split to 2119 and 2426
I will be using the nearest match of the two which is 2119
