I am an OVERSTAYER? URGENT HELP PLEASE ..

Post by thunder123 » Sun Nov 16, 2014 10:31 am

Hello everyone..
I was on tier 4 general visa which expired on 27th of october 2014. I made an extension on the same date for tier 4 online.
on 4th November i received letter from home office to send supporting documents by 15th november.
Unfortunately there is some problem back home and my parents have call me urgently to come back. My dad send me ticket for 17th November on Monday 2014.
I submitted some documents to Home ofiice before 15th but didnt send my Passport as I need to go back.
My query is what is my status here ? Am I an OVERSTAYER? I need to come for my studies by next year will it effect my immigration history?

Please help..
P.S: I am sending HO a fax and postal letter saying that i am withdrawing my application and will also attach my ticket.

See also Will I be considered overstay if I withdraw visa extension?

In any future application, you should mention that you had made a valid in-time application prior to withdrawing.

If you leave the UK now within 90 days of your expiry date, you will be okay for future re-entry. However, if you apply for visa again, it is advisable that you disclose this piece of information to the UKVI before they asked (they have record).
