ILR important questions

hi everyone,please help me wiht this
I got my spouse visa on 21 Nov, I came to the uk on the 23 of Dec.
do I need to apply for exptension or I go ahead wiht the ILR?(three month left for the visa to expire)

Secondly, my wife is on benefits but i am supporting myself by having a job as logistic supervisor in an oilfield company outside the uk but in work rotation of five weeks on and five weeks off. which means i go to work for five weeks then spend the five weeks off in the uk, would this be a problem in completing the two years period?

what about my wife , since i am working is she breaching the benefits rules?
