No original graduation certificate

Post by chiraju » Thu Aug 30, 2007 4:53 pm

Hi All,

I am in UK now working on workpermit. I have all the documents properly except my original graduation certificate.
But I have the provisional pass certificate with NARIC approved.
So can any one tell me if I can claim points under educational qualification and these documents can support?

Thanks

Hi,
Paragraph 6, page 25, Annex C of HSMP Guidlines
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/6353/1 ... p1guidance
states that you cannot use provisional certificates (even if they are origin). Have you lost your degree certificate? Ensure you apply with one or double check the notes for acceptable alternatives under exceptional consideration.

Then U need your degree certificate.

Do not get me wrong but the reason why they ask original degree because people (I am not saying U) could cheat themselves and get even PhD NARIC comparability letter even without actually possess this qualification. When U apply for NARIC U just sent/fax them the copy (NOT original) do not U ?. NARIC do not care about this because it is not their duties to check it. U give them rubbish then they will process it and U will get rubish output from NARIC as well.

This is why the CW are asking U original degree certificate if U r not recent graduate. NARICcertificate tell U nothing if U do not have your original degree certificate. HO & employers in the UK know about this.

Get an original letter from University which complies with the guidance notes and original transcripts. In addition, claim exceptional consideration. I strongly suggest that you take the time to read pages 26 (paragraphs 14 - 22), Annex C of the HSMP guidance notes.
Ensure you explain your exceptional consideration on the application form and cover letter. If you provide original documents that are inline with what they ask for then you should have a water tight application.

Constant

U could use letter from university if U r recent graduate who r waiting for degree certificate. Not those who graduated a few years ago.

If U do not have orginal degree after some years of graduation they will be curious to know why. And in this case U msut have a very good reason.
